January, Month of New Beginnings

January 1st began a new year and it's well known January is a month of new beginnings. It is a time resolutions are made generally having to do with appearance and the way we look and feel.  Goals are set by many and some are accomplished but many are not. A reason for that might be that starting something new sometimes requires a new way of thinking.  It sometimes requires certain tools -"inner tools"- to help us get started and keep going until our goals are accomplished.  (Read More)

Using certain inner tools can help us make the most of our new beginnings.  A few of the tools that can be used in helping to establish, continue on, and hopefully complete our new beginnings are first off,  "Attitude" (with a capital 'A').  A positve attitude must be developed. A positive attitude will  strengthen you emotionally and will help you stay strong in spirit and determination.   Giuliana Rancic , who suffered breast cancer and had to undergo a double mastectomy, has been quoted as saying Attitude is what got me to heal so quickly"
So, a positive attitude is key in helping to determine the outcome in any situation.

Another tool helpful in determining the outcome of new beginnings is willpower. Willpower is a word we sometimes do not want to hear.  To some it suggests certain feelings  and thoughts of negativity that this is not going to be easy. I'll never make it because I have no willpower.  Not even realizing it, we call defeat before we even begin.

Willpower  is a power that we all have.  It is an inner tool that we can draw upon to  accomplish our goals, plans, and resolutions.  Willpower is made  stronger the more we call upon it.  That is the more we use it the stronger it becomes allowing us to have a greater chance at bringing our new beginnings to a successful conclusion and we all want be successful at the things that are important to us.  That's why using and developing willpower is so important and January is the perfect time to start using it,.
