Meeting life's challenges with hope can sometimes prove to be a difficult task for many causing the question sometimes to be asked "what is hope and how do I get it"? Hope is defined in various ways. It has been defined as a desire, a feeling, an emotional state of being. It is definitely a positive feeling and a state of being to be sought after. It has been said that these are difficult times we live in and certainly that is without question. But an often asked and important question is 'how to overcome' the despair (which is the opposite of hope).
As it has been said before, "having a positive attitude can be hard work and since hope is defined as a state of being and can be said to be based on our attitude and positive outlook , hope too can sometimes for some of us be a struggle to maintain. But there are ways to live in a state of hope even when the pains of life cause us hurt, grief, and heartache, we do not have to let discouragement take over. Below is one way, a meditation on keeping the flame of hope burning bright.
