GROWING IN WISDOM

What is Wisdom?  Wisdom has been defined in many ways and the answer can come from many sources ranging from the standard  Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition, to the free, collaborative, online encyclopedia-Wikipedia,  or, to the experts academic medical explanation of what wisdom is.   But for NYC's  THE WSDM SALON,  it means 'helping women'  to "become more aware of the infinite possibilities in life".  It means 'inspiring women' to explore their own self-empowerment.  It means
" 'sharing' with other women, their experiences, insights, and life lessons". 

There's a maxim that "with age comes wisdom".  Yes, it is generally said that wisdom comes with age but wisdom has shown itself to appear in all ages from the young to the very old. And, the the newly launched  Wisdom and Empowerment Salon has set itself apart by not putting an age limit on the women giving or receiving wisdom.

Women helping women is key to the goals and mission of TheWSDM Salon and its Founder, Kim Bates. Her goal and philosophy are clearly defined in the statement of  "Our Shared Values: Wisdom, Compassion, Empowerment, Creativity, Connection and Joyfulness".  The Salon is making it possible now for other like-minded women to share with Kim, through The Salon, their aspirations of helping to  encourage, inspire, and empower other women as well as being encouraged and inspired themselves.

The WSDM's first monthly Wisdom and Empowerment Salon  will take place
Wednesday, August 22nd from 7:30-9:30pm (Door closes at 8pm)
