"The Holidays" are here ushering in  the season of goodwill and holiday cheer.  A time of giving and receiving.  Holiday cheer a time to be glad,  a time to be festive and  joyous.  Living with and maintaining holiday cheer is not always easy especially during these times we are currently living.  But it is a state of being we should all strive to reside in. A mood, a way of thinking to practice daily throughout the day.  Notice the word "practice" because gaining and especially maintaining joy and  gladness is not a quality that always comes naturally during the course of every day living.

We may not all have the means to give the tangible gifts that have become synonymous with the Christmas season but we all have an innate ability to give the intangible gifts of the season -joy, peace, hope, love, forgiveness,  goodwill, all of which give and spread 'Holiday 'Cheer.

Here are a few thoughts to remember to help you get and maintain your true sense of the meaning and spirit of the season.

Quotes That Bring Holiday Cheer

HOLIDAY HAPPINESS THAT LAST

The Holidays are here or just about here depending on which holiday you're celebrating.  And many of us can agree that the holidays are for the most part, the happiest time of the year.  A season of giving and receiving when either can bring about enormous happiness.  It is known as a time to be full of joy and good cheer, in other words to "rejoice".

Happiness for many depends on mood, how one feels.  Receiving gifts usually lifts the mood and makes one feel good especially when its something we really want.  But happiness unfortunately for some, just like the holidays quickly passes having been based on the receiving of external material gifts.

This holiday season would be a good time to look beyond the external material gifts we will be given and set aside some time to reflect on the gifts that we receive internally from the eternal spirit that is within us.  Take some time this holiday season to come to know and receive the free gifts of grace, hope, and peace that leads to lasting joy.  And then freely give them out to others as they have been given to you.
