The Holidays are here or just about here depending on which holiday you're celebrating. And many of us can agree that the holidays are for the most part, the
happiest time of the year. A season of giving and receiving when either can bring about enormous happiness. It is known as a time to be full of joy and good cheer, in other words to "rejoice".
Happiness for many depends on mood, how one feels. Receiving gifts usually lifts the mood and makes one feel good especially when its something we really want. But happiness unfortunately for some, just like the holidays quickly passes having been based on the receiving of external material gifts.
This
holiday season would be a good time to look beyond the external
material gifts we will be given and set aside some time to reflect on
the gifts that we receive internally from the eternal spirit that is
within us. Take some time this holiday season to come to know and
receive the free gifts of grace, hope, and peace that leads to lasting joy. And then
freely give them out to others as they have been given to you.
